As some of you already know, as I shared in our last post, we are going vegan for the next 2 weeks.
Getting to know what vegans eat, is quite interesting. The choice is actually quite big and super healthy. It’s day number 4 and I feel great.
I will post only vegan recipes in the following days. I don’t know what will happen next, but I am seriously falling in love with veggies.
There are a lot of things that actually convinced me to do this. Our health should be our first priority, and this is a good way to improve it. Eating that type of food, cuts the risk of having many types of cancer, diabetes etc. Sounds like you can live longer if you are vegan.
People are always afraid that they won’t get the proteins they need if they stop eating meat, but they can actually get them only from plants.
Also consuming dairy products is very dangerous. We are the only living thing on Earth, that consumes milk from another animal – and this is very unusual. We don’t need it and it makes us sick as well. Cow’s milk gets you addicted to it, because it contains big amount of casein – which makes you want more and more.
That’s enough reasons for today, now it’s time for me to show you our new recipe.
It’s cream of mushroom soup with sauteed chilli broccoli.
- 750 gr of button mushrooms
- 50 gr onions
- 50 gr carrots
- 1 clove of garlic
- salt, pepper
- 150 gr broccoli
- chilli flakes
- Using a big soup pot, start by frying the onions and garlic, for about 3-4 minutes and then add the carrots and your mushrooms
- Season nicely and cook for another 7-8 minutes, until the all of the flavors are nicely mixed together
- Now it's time to add the water and let it boil for 15 minutes
- Blend the soup and serve with some sauteed broccoli and chilli flakes
That was another good vegan dinner. Now I need to go and take my food out of the oven. I will do another photo shoot in about 10 minutes.
