Instafoodie of the week – Viola @thesunshineeatery

Hello food lovers! The time has come of our new instafoodie guest. Today I am happy to present to you Viola @thesunshineeatery.

She has 2,454 followers at the moment, and her photos are great.

Let’s now move on to the interview.

1. Can you tell me a little bit about yourself?
I’m Viola, the face behind @thesunshineeatery and I’m a 20-year-old gbc, as I’d like to call it (German born chinese) meaning I am ethnically Chinese but was born and raised in Germany. Coming from an asian background, food has always been a part of my life but it wasn’t until I was in High School that I really started browsing through food blogs and writing down recipes to try and experiment with. Ever since I developed a passion for cooking and food I think I’ve come along way. I started out as someone who would just eat whatever was on my plate to being about 95% ovo-vegetarian with a whole food diet, always trying to make normal or unhealthy things healthy or healthier without sacrificing the taste.
Healthy or ‘clean eating’ has helped me tremendously with developing an awareness for my health, the environment and the food industry. It goes way beyond instagram and trying to create delicious and appetizing food but it is a lifestyle and ties into my moral beliefs. Even though what people see is something as small as a square it truly represents a way of living through my passion for healthy eating and the creative aspect of food photography.
2. What is your biggest dream?
There are a lot of goals and dreams I have for my life and career but ultimately I want to live my life being happy and doing things I love such as music, traveling and cooking (/eating). Food related I would say my biggest dream is to become self-sustainable and grow my own vegetables as well as having a really nice kitchen to cook in.
3. What is your greatest achievement?
That is a good question. I don’t think that there is one significant achievement that really defines who I am as a person so I’m going to go with growing into an independent minded human being that has become comfortable in their own skin and peaceful in their own mind. Growing up is most likely life’s hardest task after all.
4. What is your inspiration?
I, as a being, get inspired by a lot of things. It can be from movies, books or any personal experience. Anything that will get your brain cells working. As an instafoodie on the other hand it’s usually things such as an amazing dish at a restaurant, traveling or other instafoodies. Other times it’s as simple as the seasons or the weather.
5. Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?
I hope to be content with myself and my life. I want to travel more and see more of the world. I want to improve as a human being and be more in tune with my body and spirit. I want to be able to think back on where I am right now knowing I’ve come a long way.
In 5 years from now I should have graduated university with a master degree in psychology, hopefully with a job doing something I enjoy. I have no idea if that’ll be anything food related or if this passion of mine will take me anywhere at all. Who knows if we’ll even be using instagram still. But I guess one thing is for sure: This girl’s gotta eat. So I’ll for sure still be cooking and maybe still sharing my creations.

Lets have a look at some of her pictures.
