American Classic Chicken Salad

Hi guys. Here we are with another mouth-watering recipe for you.

This one I learned when I was on a Work and Travel program in the USA. I used to work in a place where we served traditional american breakfast and the usual cheeseburgers and fries. I made a lot of pancakes there…. and numerous burgers as well… But the one thing I remember clearly, is the recipe for the chicken salad. They used to serve this one in some bread with lettuce and tomato. I really liked it, because it was one of the few things that was actually going through normal cooking processes. By this I mean, that it wasn’t fried or frozen. I really liked the way it looked and tasted like.

It is really easy to prepare. All you need, for 3-4 servings, is 400 gr roasted chicken breasts, 50 gr of fresh celery, some lemon juice, salt, pepper and a little bit of mayonnaise to hold it all together. You basically cut the chicken and the celery into really small pieces, season them with salt and pepper and you mix in some mayonnaise and lemon juice which brings them together and enhances the taste of the mixture. You can also add some sweet paprika (optional) and some parsley.

Serve this beauty on top of some baguettes, between two toasts, inside a burger bun, on top of your favorite mix leafs salad  and enjoy the flavor.
